"Hotaru Thodt presents a touching film for the entire family..."

Boy howdy I've had the linework for this piece on my harddrive for a good...three months now. I was hoping to colour this up in a higher resolution, but it nearly killed my computer, so I had to shrink it down a bit in order to finish it.

With that said, I decided to make a mock 'movie poster' for my story 'Until Dawn' (which I don't think I'll be posting on DA. Besides, I'm still blocked on it writing-wise). The imagery makes it pretty self-explanatory, I do believe. =P

I heavily referenced a German Movie poster (which I can't for the life of me find the link to the image of said poster right now) for the Fulci film 'House By The Cemetary' (the house in the background is actually a screencap from the film) as well as some stock photos my sister =girl-withagun sent me to help with the really odd angle of the girl's legs.

Also, if one looks in the credits, they will find one 'Recluse Pictures' which by the way is real indie horror film company and I got permission from the guy behind the company (who I've known off and on since 2002) to use the name and logo on this poster.

I plan to make a larger version of this poster once I get my computer upgraded. Hopefully the newer version will look much better than this one as well and therefore I'll be able to sell it as a print if enough people are interested. ^^;

Ah ha, look I'm in there. Funny that I'd be Editing and instead of Rue. She's such a grammar Nazi that I'm surprised she wouldn't wanna throw down to protect her title. :giggle:

I can totally see where you're coming with that pose, I imagine you had a hard time before coloring, but it came out okay. :D

Hmmm...you make a good point about Rue being an editor. Maybe once I render a better verson of this poster, i can switch you two off maybe? :lol:

As for the pose, in the House By The Cemetery poster, the girl had her legs behind her, but every time I tried drawing Gwen like that, it kept looking weird. Luckily Maya showed me a stock photo that was easier to draw up. ^^;
