My Misguided Crusader... (TL,DR Warning)

Okay, so I got some really, odd and possibly even semi-disturbing notes from one user Airforce1985 I thought I needed to share with those who watch me/ I'm friends with. Seriously, I think this guy might have something a little off about him (as will be explained in a moment), and as such I think people need to be warned about him. These notes are for the most part unedited save for some slight typo corrections.  Let's begin.

"You got some really wierd art. Hate to seee what's in your head. Got any not-so-dark-art?" [Says the guy with extreme Anti-Obama hate art in his favourites]

"Um, you just 'd my "World of Make Believe" piece, that's not so dark.
What's in my gallery is what you see (look up some of my SailorMoon stuff and rainbow art for some lighter things). Just because I draw dark stuff doesn't mean I'm weird or anything, I just love horror movies and dark fantasy. " [At first I was a little amused. I mean this guy 'd one of my pieces and I guess he didn't look very far into my gallery.]

Airforce1985 said the following:

"It usually means that things are pretty dark. Like some of your other works. You said it yourself, you like horror stuff. Anybody can become infatuated with stuff.
Just be careful, I had a friend who started liking horror/dark stuff and they commitied suicide. [Okay so you're using your deceased friend as a poster boy for your crusade? Yeeeeeeh...that's...kind of low. Also, I LOVE how he's twisting my words around because like like OMG teh horror!]
And I didn't say ALL your stuff was dark." [But you just alluded to it in your first note.]

"What the? Um, you're aware I'm almost, 30, right? My parents raised me on dark things, plus the 80s had plenty of dark cartoons. [It's true. I loved Inhumanoids and the D&D cartoon, plus the first two My Little Pony specials were dark]

I don't want to sound mean, but it really annoys me when people assume something is wrong with me just because of what I draw (I mean I draw what I like). I mean, I've been drawing these things since I was old enough to hold a crayon in my fist.

For the record, despite the dark things I draw, I also like Hello Kitty, SailorMoon, She-Ra and My Little Pony." [This surprises people. Really!]

[No response. I think I can relax, only to log on the next night to find...]

"I meant no offense. At times it's advisable to take advice, ESPECIALLY when offered by a friend." [Is he trying to be CLEVER? And this guy doesn't even know me, he just 's one piece on December 26th. More persistent than a Jehovah's witness I say!]

Why single me out here on Deviantart when you can go on your little Crusade and "Save" other Deviantartists as well (i.e harass the shit out of them because you THINK they might need your "Advise" AKA Harassment)?

Why don't you just go on and tell me to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour? [I wonder how he would have reacted if I had told him that I sold my soul to Satan for a Klondike Bar?]

There must be things wrong with dark artist in the professional field as well. Gerald Brom and Luis Royo must both need to go see Shrinks then. HAR DEE HAR HAR. The same goes writers such as Stephen King and Clive Barker. And let's not forget VC Andrews and JK Rowling. [JK Rowling thrown in for lulz, because we all know Harry Potter drives people to suicide, yes?]

Unless I am commissioned or offered an art trade, I draw FOR ME. I don't draw for you and I don't need your 'advice'. It's clear your friend obviously had something else mentally wrong with him on a much deeper level besides just enjoying dark art.

I'm sorry about what happened to your friend, but I don't need your advice, and I DO NOT appreciate you trying to force it upon me.

Go harass someone else and LEAVE ME ALONE.

And then I blocked him. Seriously, this guy could not take the hint and it went from amusing to annoying FAST. It's left a bad taste in my mouth and now I'm going to have to watch every Peter Lorre video I can find on Youtube to remedy that.

I also fear he's going to go after some of my friends who draw "from the dark side of life" so to speak. I'm mainly posting this journal for them as a means to warn them.

The guy knows nothing about you, and is trying to "do you a favor" by bringing up an incident (which could be BS, who knows) and associating it with you. That is a person with some kind of emotional or mental issues trying to boost their own opinion of themselves. Best thing to do is mail him back, thank him kindly for his concern, offer your condolence for his friend, and move on."

And what do you do when they don't stop? You tell them calmly but firmly what you're all about and THEN you move on...to Peter Lorre vids!
